Introducing: The Solana University Challenge

As we ramp up for Solana’s Hyperdrive Hackathon, we are happy to announce the launch of the Solana University Challenge! This challenge will serve as your accelerator to launch your web3 startup or begin your career into the blockchain space.
Our aim is to help onboard students, web2 programmers and even existing web3 builders to the Solana blockchain.
EasyA is a Learn and Earn app to help accelerate your web3 learning journey by offering a gamified experience while completing a series of tasks on particular blockchain platforms and subject matters.
This challenge will give you the tools required to build your first dApp on Solana - with this new found knowledge, you can now look to enter the Hyperdrive Hackathon and participate to be in with a chance to win $1m in prizes!
Entering and submitting to your first Hackathon can be a daunting task, which is why Superteam is on hand to help support you through every step of the journey.
The support available will cover everything from helping you identify and select what you would like to build, to go-to-market strategies, structuring your pitch and even coding support from expert Solana developers.
The way to treat this entry is that it is your first step towards a career in web3 and if nothing else, something great to put on your CV to appeal to employers in the web3 market.
Work you way through the tasks to earn EasyA XP, if you complete the Hackathon section and submit to Hyperdrive (with the help of SuperteamUK) you could be in with a chance to win an All expenses paid trip to Solana’s Breakpoint with SuperteamUK!
The winner of this will be flown out to stay with the team, get to meet a whole host of industry leaders while attending all of the events that Breakpoint has to offer. This is an opportunity that money simply cannot buy!

To earn your SuperteamXP, complete tasks on the EasyA application for the Solana University Challenge, submit to enter into the hackathon and then notify SuperteamUK.
Your XP will be rewarded once all of the Solana challenges have been complete on EasyA and you can showcase your application to hack at Hyperdrive!
What is Hyperdrive?
Hyperdrive is an fully online Hackathon that runs from September 6th to October 15th. You have 6 weeks to build and submit your Hackathon entry to be in with a chance to win over $1m in prizes and seed funding! For more details, check the announcement from Solana here:

Don’t worry, you don’t have to do this alone!
Below is a list of the full support available to you
Ideation: We have a carefully constructed list of over 200 ideas for you to choose from. If you already have an idea, even better! We can help you identify best practices to build, launch and present that during Hyperdrive.
Product Market Fit: Once you have decided on what to build, Superteam will then support you in discovering your target market, how to appeal to them and most importantly, how to build your product in a way that will solve the current problems in those markets.
Creating your pitch: The next step is to create your pitch. This will be a presentation that showcases the problem you are solving, the market opportunity and the potential impact your product will have. We have experts on hand to help you with the complete creation of your pitch.
Build support: We have a team of seasoned Solana developers that will be on hand to offer support as and when it is needed. Whether its a review of current code or suggestions for improvements, we will ensure that your build makes sense and is the best it can be.
Build Station: We will have a 60 seater Co-Working space in Huckletree (Oxford Circus) from October 2nd to October 16th which will be open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Here you can work alongside other developers, get 1to1 support from industry experts and have a space where you can collaborate along your build journey. This is made FREE and available to anyone who wishes to participate in the Hyperdrive Hackathon.
CV Building and Career Consulting: Thanks to our partners at BEExperience, all participants also have access to FREE CV building and career consultancy services. They will help create, structure and identify transferable skills to have your CV looking the best possible version it can be. They will also help add your hackathon submission to your career history which will increase your chances of being hired for a full-time position in the industry.

Local demo day
Even if you don’t manage to win in the Hyperdrive Hackathon, we will be hosting a Demo Day on October 16th at Huckletree with over £10,000 in prizes that will be awarded to the top 3 placements of the day.
There will be VCs in attendance so this is another great opportunity for exposure to you, and your project.
Don’t want to launch a startup?
At the very least, this is a fantastic opportunity to get started building on the blockchain while getting some tangible experience that can be articulated on your CV.
Coming into the space with no previous work history can be a hard feat as many places require experience. Hackathon submissions show a great willingness to build while showcasing your capability to be already able to build on the blockchain.
A call to University Ambassadors
We are wanting to get maximum participation in this campaign, and subsequently in Hyperdrive. We will award $100 cash prizes to the top 5 ambassadors who convert the most students into Hackathon Participants. Each of those 5 winners also have the opportunity to win a ticket to Solana Breakpoint in Amsterdam (Worth $1000!).
